Thanks-mas
Thanksgiving week for us involved 2 Thanksgivings and 1 Christmas this year! On Wednesday night we had Christmas at Nana's so all of our family could be together to enjoy it!
We all had a blast while decorating Nana's Tree Wednesday night.
Thursday it was a full day of eating and playing cornhole at the Hill's.
We always get our Christmas card picture made on Thanksgiving Day. This is attempt # 537...
And, I believe in #538 we may have gotten it as good as we can get!
On Friday, it was back to Nana's to enjoy Thanksgiving #2 with the Bradberry's and Deans!
"The Originals"
Plus the Hubs
Tan and Aunt Blair showed up in matching outfits!
After eating, we played a little game of Dirty Santa...it was a lot of fun! Maybe next year we should all bring 2 gifts so it will last longer!!!
We had a full week with full hearts! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

Night Terrors
Have you ever heard of "night terrors?"
I have them, and this week I have had them every.single.night.
These are what my terrors look like during the daylight hours:
I know they look normal. . .even sweet, cute, and innocent.
But come night, they turn into wild haired, smelly breathed monsters who terrorize their mommy and daddy!
Maybe I shouldn't write about this, because I'm not sure I really want to remember this part of their childhood! And, hopefully I can write this somewhat coherantly being as I feel like I can hardly keep both eyes open at the same time!
Let's just start with last night (all of the other nights this week have been similar).
9:00 pm: All kids in bed.
9:01 pm: Glass of wine. (Not really, but sounds nice, huh?!)
1:45 am: Tristan cracks open our door, and bolts to my side of the bed. Cries because he wants me to put him back in his bed. Thomas gets up to take him.
1:50 am: I decide since I'm already awake, maybe I should take advantage and go to the restroom so I don't have to get up again later.
1:51 am: Back in bed. Ready for sleep.
1:55 am: I'm hot. My stomach is in knots. I break out in a cold sweat. I'll leave the next 30 minutes to your imagination.
2:45 am: I finally look at the clock one last time before dosing back off to sleep.
3:45 am: Tanner screaming. I run to her room to try to keep her from waking Monster #1 up again. Put her passie in her mouth. She spits it out, and then throws it across her bed. I recover her and pat her back. She calms down. I slip out.
3:55 am: Sike! She's screaming before I make it into the hallway. This time she is standing up, so I grab her and run towards my room hoping I have dodged the still sleeping Tristan-Monster.
4:15 am: Tanner still screaming like a banchee. Now she's just throwing a fit. Thomas lays her down on the floor to let her get it out down there.
4:20 am: She's back in the bed. . .just kidding. . .the screaming starts again. Thomas places her back on the floor to continue her fit there.
4:25 am: She's back in the bed. . .our bed. I hear Monster #1...he has been awaken! Thomas scrambles to get to the door before the Monster is able to get there, and quickly escorts him back to his bed.
4:45 am: Tanner is asleep. . .finally. . .but, in our bed. But, Monster #1 is back to cause more havoc, and is quickly whisked again back to his room.
5:15 am: Thomas' alarm sounds. Time to continue the day. . .
Tonight's action: The Tag-Team of Tan & Tristan vs. The Tag-Team of Mom & Dad. Who's going to win? I'm thinking positive here. . . us?

Mickey, Minnie, & The Cap.!
Halloween was so much fun this year! Last year it was a little hectic and overshadowed by our sweet Tanner's arrival 16 days before.
TJ just recently watched The Avengers, and had his mind set that he would be Captain America. Not just for his superhero qualities, but because he is a man that always does the right thing! TJ likes to play by the rules, and likes to let us know when one of his siblings (Tristan) isn't doing so!
He was so excited to be Captain America, but there was just one problem. . . a BIG problem. I couldn't find a costume anywhere! Wednesday was quickly approaching so at the last minute (Monday) I just broke down and ordered it online. Thank goodness it fit perfectly! He wore it all night Tuesday and had it on Wednesday before I got home from work. The only downfall. . . the mask. . . it kept slipping over his eyes. And instead of fixing it, he just walked around tripping all night long. He even scared some poor couple by falling down their front steps! He had a blast and was the cutest Captain America I've ever seen!
Tristan loves Mickey. So, I decided I would just put together a Mickey costume instead of buying one that he could only wear once. I bought a cheap pair of red sweat pants, a black shirt, spray painted some old crocs yellow, added some ears and white stickers as buttons on his pants and voila! Super cuteness!
For the last few years our first stop has been at KK & Papa's house. So we arrived, and the kids were all excited to get started on the candy-filled walk. We knocked on the door and some creepy looking man comes out of KK & Papa's house growling and snarling and such. Tristan's eyes almost popped out of his head as he tried to reconcile what he was seeing at his Grandparent's house. He burst into tears and nearly knocked me over as he jumped into my arms! Mean 'old Papa liked to have scared him to death! For the rest of the night, any time he saw a kid with a scary mask on he started crying a running for Mommy. . . poor baby! But, Tristan lovesHalloween candy. And, as He trick-or-treated, he would leave the front door, immediately raid his bucket for candy, and walk to the next house eating. And so serious as he worked the doors for his treats. He did that all the way around the block. Trick-or-Treat, eat. Trick-or-Treat, eat.
Since Tristan was Mickey, I thought Tanner would be cute as Minnie. I made her skirt out of tulle, and put it with a black shirt and tights, and added some Minnie ears. I still can't believe she left the Minnie ears almost the whole time!
We strolled Tanner this year since she is a little on the slow side ;-) One of the first houses we stopped at was handing out homemade cotton candy. I didn't know she would even know what it was, but she quickly let me know otherwise! She would yell, "Mama! Mama! Mama!" at me until I would give her a bite, and then grunt until I gave her another. If I got too far away from her with the cotton candy in my hands, she let me know it!

Our Punkins at the Patch
Last weekend was "my" weekend that I got to pick what we did on Saturday. First thing Saturday morning, we had our family pics taken by our favorite photographer Jessica Mitchell. Tanner wasn't really feeling it that morning, so we took a break and reconveined after a nap and lunch. The afternoon pics went much better and they turned out amazing!
After our afternoon naps, we headed to Lafayette to the Jack-o-lantern Lane Pumpkin Patch. We've been before, but TJ was probably around Tristan's age, so it's been a while! Tristan was most excited about the tractors, and TJ was most excited about the petting zoo. And, sweet Tan was just along for the ride!
Hayride
We all picked out our favorite pumpkins, and lined them up to decide on the best one.
Petting Zoo was next.
"Come heah little bunny!"
Then the corn grinders. Out of everything, I thought we would never get them off of these! I have weird kids.
My manly men...
Another loop through the petting zoo. They tried to stop at the corn grinders again...weird!
Such a fun day and one Happy, Blessed Mommy!

The Life of a Football Coach's wife...on her Anniversary
So, yesterday was our Anniversary. Thomas was the first to tell me Happy Anniversary...at 2:30 a.m. while we were up with Tanner. For dinner, I whipped up a box of mac-n-cheese that I shared with Tanner & Tristan, while Thomas was able to enjoy a romantic dinner with the local high school football coaches for the weekly coach's radio show. Our day ended with Thomas bringing me what I love most...a Snickers.
This is our life. And I love it. And, I love him. I am so thankful that I get to share every day with my best friend. Here's to many more years Babe...and to Sunday when we get to be alone to celebrate!!!

As Bright as the Sun,
Our Little Tanner Has Turned One!
I've really been into Pinterest lately, and wanted to try out some of the neat ideas I've seen on there for parties! I decided that Miss Tanner would probably have plenty of "pink/girlie" parties, so I wanted something a little different. I decided to go with a yellow/sunshine theme...and I am so happy with the way it all turned out!
Perfect cake from Hovey's House of Cakes
Love this printable that I found...will look cute in her room now too!
I made this banner with different yellow scrapbook paper and then printed out her monthly pictures that I took...I think it turned out so cute!
Tanner was a typical girl when it came to the cake. She dantily took small bites, and barely made a mess...it was hilarious! The boys had to be taken straight from their highchairs to the bath tub. I was able to get her clean with a baby wipe!
Who's up for a high-5?!
The day was so special thanks to all of our family who came to celebrate with us! It wouldn't have been complete without each and every one of you. We love you all!
Loves her new baby doll!
