I'm trying here...

Obviously, blogging more was not my New Year's resolution...should've been, but I was too busy to make a resolution this year...obviously.

I really need to catch up on December since it was full of fun times, but I'll just do January for now and then work back...hopefully!

TJ's birthday is January 10th and it always kind of sneaks up on me. And this year, I'm sad to say, was no different. I guess it's because of Christmas, New Year's, and just getting back into the "normal" (whatever that is) swing of things. And this year, we added in a trip to Colorado for Uncle Mike and our newly Aunt Meghan's wedding. When I asked him what he wanted to do for his day, I was secretly hoping he would say what he has for the past 2 years..."ALL PLAY!" All Play is a great little place in our area that is indoors (great for a January birthday because you never know how the weather will be around here...could be snowing, could be 75 degrees) and full of those inflatable slides and jumpy houses...perfect for little boys to be wild and not in my house! And, if it can get any better than that, they do EVERYTHING for the birthday party, except provide the cake. EVERYTHING...set up, table decorations, balloons, drinks, plates, napkins, utensils, and the best part...wait for it...CLEAN UP! But, this year, much to my dismay, he said, "I don't know, but not All Play again!" So, we decided maybe we would just invite a few boys to the movie theater, but that was shot down quickly when there were not appropriate movies showing. So, I decided we'd just bring the movie theater to our house. And, it all turned out great!

And even cupcakes that looked like popcorn...LOVE these!

I wish I could take credit for all of this, but I can't. I searched Pinterest for all of these ideas!

We opened presents, and then the boys enjoyed about...hmmm, maybe 25 minutes of the movie before getting antsy and running outside.

Thomas took the boys on a nature hike. They carried weapons and shields and "tracked" dangerous animals.

The party turned out fantastic, but I can't believe my baby boy is 8! TJ is such a blessing; always full of energy, plenty of things to say (many several times in a row), such a big heart, never meets a stranger, always a friend, gorgeous blue eyes that melt me (and he knows it) and I could go on and on. Happy Birthday buddy; we love you "to infinity and beyond!"
